The IRCF plays a pivotal role in maximizing the benefits of these memberships, with a special focus on four prominent organizations each offering world class resources, expertise, and training to advance research across disciplines:
- Euro-BioImaging Provides open access to cutting-edge biological and biomedical imaging technologies, spanning the full range from molecular and cellular imaging to whole-organism and clinical applications. Their services include access to technologies (e.g., light microscopy, electron microscopy, medical imaging like MRI or PET), expert support, data management, and training.
- Instruct-ERIC Focuses on integrative structural biology, offering access to advanced technologies and expertise for determining the structures of biological molecules and complexes at the cellular level, as well as promoting training and scientific collaborations.
- ELIXIR Specializes in the management, storage, sharing, and analysis of life science data, particularly bioinformatics. It supports biomedical, industrial, and environmental research by providing platforms, training, and resources to improve access to scientific data across Europe.
- EMBL Europe’s leading molecular biology research institute, conducting basic research in life sciences including molecular, developmental, systems biology, genomics, bioinformatics, structural biology, and environmental biology. EMBL also develops new technologies, offers services, provides training, and fosters international scientific collaborations.
